Doing Business in Serbia

The mission of the Economic Department of the Serbian embassy in Sweden is to promote Serbian investments and trade, within the Swedish market. It is also to provide assistance to Swedish companies regarding investments and outsourcing opportunities, this by matching their business needs with appropriate Serbian products and services. We also support Serbian export companies, who have selected Sweden as an export market for their products and services.

In recent years Serbia has been recognized as a premier investment location in the SEE region, with more then €21 billion of inward foreign direct investments since 2010. Within this period Serbia became the home for many world leading companies which include FIAT, Telenor, Microsoft, Stada, Tetra Pak, Coca-Cola, Delhaize, Michelin, Gazprom, Bosch, Siemens, Intesa Sanpaolo, Mobilkom Austria and many more.
In order to improve a good business climate for foreign capital whole investment, incentive packages have been created with numerous benefits for potential investors. Besides its strategic geographical position,which supports logistics and prompt delivery to Europe within 24h,it also embraces a highly capable and skilled labor force and high quality education with a broad network of institutions and universities. In addition to this it also provides free access to the 15% of the world market through signed free trade agreements with EU, Russia, EFTA, CEFTA, Turkey, Belorussia and Kazakhstan, plus a wide range of financial incentives and a favourable tax regime. With a population of 7.2 million people, the Serbian market itself is amongst the largest in the region.

With help from the Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency’s (SIEPA) unique suppliers data base, you will find the right Serbian suppliers of products or services suited to meet your business needs.
SIEPA suppliers database is an ever-expanding database, which currently holds around 2.500 Serbian suppliers. This useful tool enables on-line browsing to find the most suitable products, semi-finished goods, materials, tools, designs, subcontractors and services for your business.
Simply select the criteria at: http://serbia-locations.rs/suppliers-eng/index.php and click the “select” button to receive shortlisted companies and products. Once you find your required company or need additional information, please ask for assistance from the Economic Councillor in Sweden via e-mail. We will provide you with the requested information and together with SIEPA help you out to select the right company. We will also put you in contact with key people to be able to establish mutually beneficial business co-operations.
